Terms of sale
1. introduction
The Frontier Touring Co Pty Ltd (Frontier, we, us and our) is a live event promoter and festival organiser. By purchasing a ticket to the Ridin’ Hearts Festival (Festival) You agree to be bound by the terms and conditions set out below (Terms of Sale). The Terms of Sale relate to the sale of tickets and attendance at the Festival to which the ticket relates. These Terms of Sale apply to the purchaser and any subsequent ticketholders (You or Your).
In addition to the Terms of Sale, You are also subject to the Venue Terms and Conditions as well as any Authorised Ticketing Agent’s Terms and Conditions. Where there is inconsistency between terms the following order of enforceability applies:
1. Venue Terms and Conditions.
2. Ridin’ Hearts Terms of Sale.
3. Authorised Ticketing Agent Terms and Conditions.
Frontier reserves the right to cancel any ticket used in breach of any of the above terms.
2. purchase of tickets
Tickets to the Festival are available through the authorised ticketing agent (Authorised Ticketing Agent). The Authorised Ticketing Agent for the Festival is:

You are warned not to buy tickets from unauthorised operators. We are aware tickets to events and festivals may be sold through unauthorised operators at excessively inflated prices. If You buy tickets from unauthorised operators, You do so at Your own risk and neither us nor the Authorised Ticketing Agent will be able to assist You.
Please read the Live Performance Australia Safe Tix Guide and the NZ Commerce Commission guide on Buying Event Tickets. Frontier does not allocate any tickets for the Festival to unauthorised re-sellers (which include but are not limited to Viagogo; Stubhub; Ticketfinders; Ticket Merchant; Tixel; and Worldticketshop. To make sure You pay the correct ticket price and receive valid tickets, You must purchase via the Authorised Ticketing Agent, as listed on our website.
Frontier cannot guarantee any ticket purchase made through any means other than the Authorised Ticketing Agent (for example via websites such as eBay, Gumtree and social media Buy Swap Sell pages).
3. payment plans
Frontier may elect to make available a Payment Plan via a third party pay by instalment option for Ticket purchases. If You elect to use the third party Payment Plan, You acknowledge that it is subject to approval from the third party provider and additional terms and conditions may apply.

4. use of tickets
The promotion, advertising, offering or selling of tickets to a Festival is strictly prohibited by anyone other than the Authorised Ticketing Agent, unless:
a. with Frontier’s prior written consent; or
b. where expressly permitted under relevant State or Federal trading laws.
Tickets may not, without the prior written consent of Frontier, be used for advertising, promotion or for any other commercial purposes (including competitions and trade promotions) or to enhance the demand for other goods or services. In addition to any other legal rights and remedies that Frontier have in this regard, Frontier reserves the right to immediately cancel, without notice or compensation to You, any tickets sold or used in breach of this condition.
5. festival changes
Frontier has the right to add, withdraw, reschedule or substitute support artists and/or vary advertised programs, times, prices, venues, seating arrangements, staging and audience capacity without notice to You. The line-up for the Festival featuring multiple artists may be subject to change.
6. REDUCED CAPACITY OR VARIED CONFiGURATION OF FESTIVALS DUE TO INTERVENING CIRCUMSTANCES
If there are Intervening Circumstances which require the Festival capacity to be reduced or the configuration to be varied then that process will be determined by Frontier in its absolute discretion. If Your transaction is identified for cancellation (ie due to venue capacity restrictions) then you will be entitled to a full refund of the ticket price.
Intervening Circumstances means an incident that is beyond Frontier’s control which occurs after the time when a Ticket is sold, such as an act of God, state of emergency (eg bushfire or flood), public health emergency (eg pandemics including COVID-19 related), travel warnings (eg travel restrictions or advice to not travel) and Government or Health Authority directives (eg forced venue closures or mass gathering restrictions).
7. TICKET PURCHASE LIMITS
Frontier has the right to enforce published ticket purchase limits and cancel any tickets You obtain above those limits. If You exceed the ticket limit, You may have any or all of Your orders and tickets cancelled without notice. This includes orders associated with the same name, ticketing account, email address, IP address, billing address, credit card number or other information.
8. CANCELLED, RESCHEDULED OR SIGNIFICANTLY RELOCATED FESTIVALS
If a Festival is cancelled, rescheduled or significantly relocated Frontier will comply with the Applicable Codes and Laws:
CANCELLATION: if a Festival is cancelled for any reason whatsoever, You will be entitled to a full refund of the ticket price.
RESCHEDULED: if a Festival is rescheduled for any reason whatsoever, Your ticket will be valid (or if applicable, Your ticket will be reissued) for the rescheduled Festival unless otherwise advised by Frontier or the Authorised Ticketing Agent. You are entitled to a full refund of the ticket price if You cannot attend the rescheduled Festival, provided that You apply for a refund within the period of time advertised or notified by Frontier and/or the relevant Authorised Ticketing Agent.
SIGNIFICANTLY RELOCATED: if a Festival is significantly relocated for any reason whatsoever, Your ticket will be valid (or if applicable, Your ticket will be reissued) for the relocated Festival unless otherwise advised by Frontier or the Authorised Ticketing Agent. You are entitled to a full refund of the ticket price if You cannot attend the relocated Festival, provided that You apply for a refund within the period of time advertised or notified by Frontier and/or the relevant Authorised Ticketing Agent.
Applicable Codes and Laws means: the Live Performance Australia Ticketing Code of Practice or the Australian Consumer Law (or any other applicable laws) for Australia.
9. FRONTIER LIABILITY
To avoid doubt, Frontier is not liable to You for any losses or expenses incurred in connection with a Festival being cancelled, rescheduled, significantly relocated or changed (including, for example, travel, accommodation or other ancillary expenses), except to the extent that such losses arise from Frontier’s breach of any Applicable Codes and Laws.
10. REFUND OR replacement OF TICKETS
Refunds or replacement on any ticket will only be given as set out in these Terms of Sale, or as reasonably determined by Frontier in order to comply with the Applicable Codes and Laws. Frontier and/or Authorised Ticketing Agent will not replace lost, stolen or destroyed tickets unless proof of purchase is presented and will not issue replacement tickets where seating is not allocated (General Admission tickets). Authorised Ticketing Agent may charge a fee for the replacement of tickets.
11. Mistakes in Ticket Purchases
You are responsible for checking all Festival information and ensuring You have purchased the right ticket for the right Festival on the right Festival Date. No refunds will be processed if You mistakenly purchase a ticket to the wrong city, wrong ticket allocation or seating location or make some other error in connection with Your ticket purchase.
12. FESTIVAL age restrictions (18+ Event)
The minimum age requirement to attend the Festival will be 18 years of age (that is, 18 years as at the Festival Date):
- Saturday 2 November 2024: Sydney, Sydney Showground
- Sunday 3 November 2024: Melbourne, Caribbean Gardens
13. GENERAL ADMISSION EVENT
This is a fully licensed general admission standing event.
14. festival LICENSING
This is a fully licensed event. Alcohol is not permitted to be brought into, or removed from, the Festival. Only alcohol purchased at the Festival may be consumed at the Festival in the permitted areas of the Venue.
Acceptable ID is required to purchase and consume alcohol at the Festival.
You must be 18 years or over to purchase and consume alcohol at the Festival.
There may be designated licensed areas to comply with relevant licensing laws applicable to each Festival.
15. acceptable id
ID documents must be current and include a photo of the person and their date of birth.
Acceptable ID means:
- Driver Licence or Learner Permit (from any country) including Digital Driver Licences.
- Passport (from any country).
- KEYPASS Photo ID Card or Keypass in Digital iD
- Any other recognised Proof/Evidence of Age/Identity or Photo Card.
All Acceptable ID must be written in English or if not written in English then accompanied by an official English translation.
For a foreign Driver Licence not written in English, an International Driver Permit issued in the foreign country of origin (and including a photo of the licence holder and translation) should be presented with the Foreign Driver Licence.
16. VIP & HOTEL PACKAGE TICKETS
From time to time, in conjunction with the Festival ticket, we may sell Festival packages, add-ons and upsells (including but not limited to hospitality packages, hotel packages and VIP experiences) (Festival Packages). You may be subject to further terms and conditions relating to Festival Packages.
Frontier is responsible for Ridin' Hearts Festival Packages only. A Ridin' Hearts Festival Package is a Festival Package purchased directly from Frontier or the Authorised Ticketing Agent.
Frontier is not responsible for Festival packages sold, distributed and provided by third party operators (Third Party Festival Package). Any queries, concerns or issues relating to a Third Party Festival Package should be directed to that third party operator.
17. PHOTOGRAPHY AND FILMING AT FESTIVALS
Frontier reserves the right to broadcast, communicate, film and/or record the Festival. If You are photographed, filmed or recorded whilst attending the Festival, You consent to Frontier (or third parties authorised by Frontier) photographing, filming or recording You. Third parties authorised by Frontier can broadcast, publish, license and use any photographs, film, recordings or images of You without compensation or restriction including but not limited to marketing and promotional use and in all media. Frontier, authorised third parties and anyone acquiring from them a right to use the material are not liable to You in any way for its use. You acknowledge you have no right to any royalties or compensation for the use of your image in footage and/or recordings.
You may not be permitted to use cameras, audio and video recorders at the Festival. Frontier and/or the Artist reserve the right to confiscate and/or delete any footage, recordings and/or photos created by unauthorised or prohibited recording, filming or photography at the Festival.
18. FESTIVAL entry, SECURITY AND SAFETY
Frontier’s rights to refuse entry to a Festival include but are not limited to where:
a. Your ticket has been handled in breach of these Terms of Sale; or
b. Your ticket is defaced, manipulated or damaged.
You are reminded that in addition to Frontier’s right to refuse entry to the Festival, the Venue hosting the Festival may impose additional restrictions.
You agree to comply with security and safety requirements and directions at the Festival. Prior to entry to the Festival, You and/or Your belongings may be subject to specific security and safety requirements including but not limited to bag checking, metal detector tests, pat downs, explosive sweeps and/or drug detection tests. If You do not consent to such searches, You may be denied entry to the Festival without refund.
It is important to Frontier and our artists that the Festival is enjoyable and safe for patrons. Anyone behaving in an offensive, disruptive or dangerous manner may be ejected from the Festival in the Festival personnel’s discretion. We reserve the right to evict patrons who disobey Responsible Service of Alcohol legislation or refuse to comply with Venue Terms and Conditions. Anyone found supplying or consuming illicit drugs will be evicted from the Festival and may face criminal charges. If You feel unsafe, distressed or harassed at a Festival we encourage You to seek the assistance of Festival personnel.
19. bags
You are not permitted to bring backpacks of any size into the Festival. We encourage You not to bring any bags, however, small bags up to the Maximum Allowed Bag Size are permitted. The Maximum Allowed Bag Size is A3 (30cm x 30cm x 10cm). All bags will be subject to bag checking and other security measures upon arrival at the Festival. We recommend You arrive early to ensure that You have plenty of time to proceed through security checks and any required check-in points prior to entering the Festival.
20. food & drink
Water: We will provide free water stations at the Festival. You may bring in an EMPTY translucent (clear) refillable plastic water bottle (no larger than 1L). NO GLASS OR METAL BOTTLES ARE ALLOWED into the Festival.
Beverages: No other beverages may be brought into the Festival.
Food: No food can be brought into the Festival except if You have special dietary requirements.
21. pass-outs
No pass-outs are available at the Festival.
22. weather
The Festival is an all-weather event and will proceed rain or shine. Only exceptionally severe weather conditions will affect the performance so be prepared. Umbrellas, tents and sunshades are not permitted at the Festival. You may bring a raincoat or poncho.
23. loss or injury AT FESTIVAL
To the fullest extent permitted by the law and subject to Your rights under any Applicable Codes and Laws, You release Frontier (including its directors, officers, employees, consultants, contractors, agents and volunteers) from any liability for any damage, loss, liability or injury You may suffer in relation to Your attendance at a Festival, howsoever caused, including due to any negligence or other act or omission of Frontier.
You agree to compensate Frontier for any damage, loss, liability or injury that Frontier may suffer as a result of Your wilful, reckless or negligent acts or omissions at a Festival.
24. RISK
Entry to the Festival is at Your own risk and You must:
a. wear appropriate footwear and clothing at all times at the Festival;
b. not mosh, crowd surf, circle pit, wall of death, slingshot, stage dive or engage in similar anti-social crowd-behaviour;
c. wear ear plugs if necessary; and
d. determine whether Your health or the health of other attendees may be adversely impacted by Your attendance at the Festival.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Frontier takes no responsibility for any hearing damage or loss caused by excessive or prolonged exposure to noise and/or injury caused by Your failure to follow reasonable safety directives given by Festival personnel.
There remains an inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 and/or other communicable diseases and illnesses in any public place or place where people are present. There is no guarantee, express or implied, that any person attending the Festival will not be exposed to COVID-19 or other communicable diseases or illnesses. By attending the Festival, You voluntarily assume any and all risks related to any exposure to COVID-19 and other communicable diseases or illnesses that may be present including bacteria, virus or other pathogen capable of causing a communicable disease or illness that may result in Your injury/death.
Frontier will continue to assess the outbreak and transmission of communicable diseases, including any stipulations from Government, Health Authorities, Artists and Venues in determining necessary safety measures for the Festival. By purchasing tickets to the Festival, you agree to follow any Festival policies in place at the time of the Festival. These requirements may include, but are not limited to, proof of vaccination, QR code check-in, social distancing, mask wearing, changes to capacity, and/or other measures. Your breach of any of the Festival policies may lead to You being refused entry and/or ejected from the Festival.
25. YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
Pursuant to Your booking, Frontier and/or the Authorised Ticket Agent may need to collect and keep personal information about You including Your name, email, address, credit card or payment details, contact number and the names of all ticket allocations.
Your contact details may be used to provide You with information and details about the Festival.
If You have consented via the Authorised Ticketing Agent to receive further information about Frontier events and/or the Festival, we may also disclose Your contact details to those third parties and provide You with promotional material about other events, festivals and products. We may also need to disclose Your personal information as required by law or as permitted under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). If You have any questions about how Frontier will handle Your personal information please visit the link at the bottom of the Authorised Ticketing Agent’s ticketing page where You purchased Your Festival ticket or refer to Frontier’s Privacy Policy.
26. CERTAIN ITEMS PROHIBITED
Frontier, and its designated representatives, including Festival personnel, reserve the right to prohibit items which it believes threaten the enjoyment, rights and/or safety of You, artists and/or other patrons at the Festival.
Unless permitted under the Venue Terms and Conditions, Prohibited Items include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Alcohol.
- Animals (excluding service dogs such as guide dogs and police or emergency service dogs).
- Backpacks of any size.
- Bags larger Maximum Allowed Bag Size (30cm x 30cm x 10cm).
- Balloons, frisbees, radios, musical instruments, sticks, poles, bats, clubs, etc.
- Banners, posters, flags (no poles) or signs larger than 30cm x 30cm (content must not be political or offensive in nature).
- Beanbags, blow-up chairs or lounges.
- Chairs, folding chairs, bean bags, inflatable chairs or lounges, tables, cushions or blankets of any kind
- Clothing, costume, or personal effects that may impede the view of others.
- Confetti or shredded paper.
- Drones or other remote controlled devices.
- Eskies, coolers or any hard food and beverage storage vessels.
- Flammables or missile-like objects, fireworks, sparklers, road flares, emergency flares, explosives, or other incendiary devices or fire twirling equipment.
- Food or beverages.
- Glass items.
- Hydration packs and reservoirs (eg: Camelbaks).
- Illegal substances.
- Kites or sky lanterns.
- Lasers, flashlights, lights or battery packs.
- Masks (with the exception of medical masks or religious face coverings).
- Metal and hard plastic items (cutlery and/or drink containers, etc).
- Monopods, tripods or attachment sticks (GoPro and/or selfie-sticks).
- Nitrous oxide bulbs and canisters.
- Noise-making devices such as air horns, bells, bullhorns, thunder sticks, whistles, hooters and megaphones.
- Political signage.
- Prams, pushers, strollers, baby capsules, car seats or bassinets.
- Professional photography equipment (eg telephoto lens; any lens over 5cm; any detachable lens; stands or other commercial equipment or anything deemed by Festival personnel to be professional photography equipment).
- Recording devices for audio and/or visual (including GoPro, iPad, tablets and similar).
- Sharpies, markers, paint cans or paint pens.
- Skateboards, scooters, wagons, carts, rollerblades, roller skates, electric bikes, bicycles, quad-bikes, segways, hoverboards, self-balancing scooters or any personal motorised vehicles.
- Tables or furniture.
- Toy guys, water guns or slingshots.
- Two-way walkie talkies, radios or sound systems.
- Umbrellas, tents or sunshades / sun shelters.
- Unauthorised solicitation materials including handbills, flyers, stickers, beach balls, give-aways, samples, or other promotional items.
- Water bottles that are plastic but larger than 1L; and/or non-translucent; and/or with any contents.
- Weapons of any sort including tasers, mace spray or potential projectiles.
- Any other item deemed by Festival personnel (in their discretion) to be, or potentially be, a safety hazard or annoyance to participants or guests, dangerous or offensive.
Please also check the relevant Venue Terms and Conditions on the Venue website for venue-specific prohibited items (which vary from venue to venue).
Any persons found to be in possession of Prohibited Items must surrender those Prohibited Items to be permitted entry to the Festival. Surrendered items will not be returned.
27. PRESCRIPTION MEDICATION
All medication (prescription or over the counter) must be declared on entry and may need approval by a Festival medic. Medication is allowed to be brought into the Festival, under the following conditions:
• Medication must be in its original packaging and untampered.
• Medication must be placed in a clear, resealable bag.
• Medication must have proof of script.
• It must only be the dosage for that day.
All medication will undergo normal security processes upon entry.
28. medical services and MEDICAL RECORDS
In the event of injury or illness Frontier may, at Your cost, arrange medical treatment and/or emergency evacuation as deemed essential for Your safety. By using any medical facilities at the Festival, You consent to the Promoter having access to Your medical records.
29. VARIATION TO TERMS of sale
Frontier may vary these Terms of Sale at any time without notice to You. Any variations become effective immediately once the variation has been published on Ridin’ Hearts Festival’s website. Any variations will not operate retrospectively.
30. Enforceability
Any provision of these Terms of Sale which is or becomes unenforceable shall not invalidate the other provisions of these Terms of Sale.
